Why nontraditional weddings?
As a photographer who has been in the wedding industry for 5 years, I have seen it all. And one sad pattern is lot of couples making compromises on a day that is supposed to be about them. Making one people-pleasing sacrifice after another until their wedding day slowly slips into another family reunion or a religious service they are not even part of.
All the effort of planning and money spent just for the couple the day is supposed to be about rolling their eyes and counting down the seconds until they can just be alone and put everything behind them.
It doesn’t need to be like this.
It is time to refocus the wedding on what it is truly about. News flash! That is YOU AND YOUR PARTNER. No one else.
We need to stop doing things just because it’s the way it has always been done.
It’s time to rewrite the rules.
